June Misses
Happy Independence Day people! Just so you know, I worked pretty damn hard to get this list done in order to provide you all a proper soundtrack to your BBQ-ing festivities tomorrow. You throw on a few of these joints and your guests will think you have good taste in music, and for that, here's a premature "you're welcome."
There was a ton of hotness released in June, so since I'm not embedding every single song now, I decided to expand the Misses format to all things hot that didn't get reported in the previous month (once again, you're welcome). The theme of this month seems to be chillax/throwback, good backyard party vibes. We have a little bit of everything this month. From Mack Wilds, J. Lo, and Busta Rhymes rehashing classic 90s hip-hop beats, to a fun remix of a Bob Marley classic fit for a Bud Light Lime-a-Rita commercial.
Big Gipp's collaboration with former fellow Goodie Mob member, Cee Lo Green, is hands down the star of this list. Jay Z once again makes us listen to sub par bars to get to his verse, but it was somewhat worth it. Also, this is the first Misses list to feature a billionaire, with Dr. Dre taking time out from counting his Apple money to bless Marsha Ambrosius with a verse for her latest, and giving more false hope for a Detox release.
Take your time with this one, you are sure to find a favorite, and once again...you're welcome.
