Finally, after years of searching (not really, just finally remembered to Google it this time), I found out the song played at the beginning of the "Dry Guys" episode of "Workaholics" (the Blon-Ders episode) is actually a song. The beat is cold, reminds me of early Swizz Beats beat...I'm talking DMX before the crack (if that time even existed). The song is called "CBat" and it's was made by a dj/producer from Glasgow, Scotland named Hudson Mohawke. Might be Scotland's greatest export since "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

Ash Wednesday
I've been wondering where Asher Roth has been. I guess before he crossed the pond for his European tour, he wanted to hit us a going away present, or even a Valentine's Day gift...no homo (god, I always wanted to type that! Can cross that off the ol' bucket list). I like the classic Eric B-type beat the Blended Babies formulated for the track, and I don't even mind the fact that Curren$y is on it. Definitely worth a listen. Let me publish this post before I have second thoughts about that "no homo" up there. Enjoy.

"Anthem" - J Dilla ft. Frank N Dank
One of my fav...nope...one of THE greatest producers of all time, J Dilla, is having a posthumous album dropped of all previously unreleased material. The album is due out in the spring, but the label was kind enough to bless us with a track off the album, "Anthem" featuring Frank N Dank. I love it! R.I.P. Dilla.

Name Change
Decided to change the blog name. I think this one has more flow. Let me know what you think. That's all I wanted to say.
Why Jay?
So, last week Forbes magazine released a list of the top 10 most hated athletes in America, and low and behold, the Chicago Bears' general on offense, Jay Cutler, was ranked number 4.
Damn!!! Number 4? In the country? OJ Simpson is sitting in his jail cell shocked. I know Jay's smug face just screams douche, and he exhibits many douche-like qualities, but does he deserve such a high dishonor? 85% of athletes are douche bags. Hell, Cutler is just Tom Brady with out 3 Super Bowl rings, and let's face it, Brady was basically just a bullshit "tuck rule" call away from not being Mr. Bundchen.
What deplorable act did he commit to rank higher than Kobe Bryant (Colorado, anybody?), Mike Vick (convicted dog-fighter), A-Rod (what hasn't he injected into his body), or Ron Artest (his momma named him Ron, imma call him Ron)? Last time I checked, berating your offensive linemen on national TV or walking away from a bullshit offensive coordinator wasn't a crime. At least 5 mf'ers on this list committed actual "do not pass go - go directly to jail" crimes.
Don't get me wrong, Jay is as douchey as they come, but cut the guy some slack. Other athletes have done way worse...I'm looking at you Ray Lewis (thank god he will never read this...that mf'er is SCARY, plus he knows how to beat a murder rap, I don't want none).

Groove Shart Mix
I'll keep this one short. Here is a dj set my dj friend, JT, uploaded to Mixcloud.com. It's a nice, eclectic mix of some of his favorite jams from 2011. Why he decided to finally unleash it in 2013, I don't know. Procrastination never sounded better. Enjoy.
