A.D.D. Report: NBA 2013 Tip-Off

Opening night in the NBA has come and gone, and it did not disappoint (well my Bulls did).

The Chicago-Miami game started with Miami's ring ceremony. The Heat broadcast a video package that was displayed on the floor of their court which was AMAZING! Props to however came up with that. They also wore championship versions of their jerseys which I could of done without. I had a feeling D. Rose was not gonna keep up the MVP caliber pace he played during the preseason, simply because he was the ONLY player in his games playing that hard. Opposing teams were looking at Derrick like "did anyone tell him this is just preseason?"

Last night showed why Chicago needed to keep Nate Robinson. He was a spark plug off the bench. And for those who say we didn't need another point guard with Rose coming back but the Bulls did bring in Mike James who is a point guard. That should of been Nate's spot. I wasn't even excited about the Mike Dunleavy signing. All he does is stand in the corner and wait to get passed the ball. The Bulls need someone to create their own shot and make things happen like Nate did last year.

I truly believe Chicago should trade Loul Deng and get a true shooting guard. That may not be popular with people reading this but the Bulls will look dumb if he walks this off-season and they get nothing in return (i.e the Lakers with Dwight Howard). Deng is a back to back all-star who is on an expiring contract, so he has value. Plus, the Bulls will have to pay about $89 million for the repeater tax of going over the luxury tax threshold. I don't see their cheap front office paying that.

Deng wasn't happy with how the Bulls team doctors handled his spinal tap last year, and before that he was mad that the Bulls didn't want him to play for his native Great Britain during the 2012 Summer Olympics due to his nagging injuries. He said he would have been fine and he had an obligation to his homeland. I can understand that. I like Deng and would rather trade Carlos Boozer, but I don't see that happening. Hopefully this ends well for both sides, well just the Bulls because regardless Deng is gonna get paid this off-season. Oh wow, I actually didn't digress...that's not a good thing. I'll try harder next time to be more random.
