WacGyver episode 3: The Real Gypsies of Budapest

A lot of bad coming at you in this episode, Hijinks from the Middle East to Budapest, including some use of old film footage that makes The Power Rangers look like The Avengers.  All terrible.

"You making fun of my life's work?"

We dug deep in this episode, so click below and give it a listen!

Classixx @ Double Door Chicago on March 7, 2014

One of the many perks of blogging, besides my annual salary of $0, is the fact that I am constantly discovering new and exciting music outside of the realms on mainstream. One group that has slowly created a buzz on my iTunes playlists is the California nu-disco/electro duo known as Classixx.

Classixx is made up of childhood friends Tyler Blake and Michael David. That's right guys, 2 men...4 first names. For the last 4 years, Classixx has been blessing followers of the electronic music genre with a very energetic sound. Their tracks display influences from all over the music map from old school hip-hop to 60s folk music. Classixx has offered up production and remixes for a wide range of artists, including Mayer Hawthorne, Major Lazer, and Lana Del Rey.

Classixx released their debut album, Hanging Gardens, in May of 2013, and are now embarking on their first major tour in support of the album. Guess what people...they are making a stop in Chicago! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Tyler and Michael will be at Double Door on March 7th. Take a listen to some of their music posted, and if you like click here to buy tickets to the show. Have I ever steered you wrong? Don't answer that. Just listen to the music, buy some tickets, and we'll talk about it at the show next month. You're welcome.

Outside the Chin: 5 Reason's I'm Glad Jay Leno is Done

When the Winter Olympics close in Sochi, Jimmy Fallon will officially become the 5th host of NBC's The Tonight Show. I welcome the change for a few reasons:
  • The Roots are the shit!
  • The Fallon/Timberlake connection might be the best variety show duo since Sinatra and Martin.
  • Jay Leno never did it for me...he kinda sucks.
The Leno sucks reason is definitely the stand-out explanation. I'm not saying it because I'm a die-hard Jimmy Fallon fan, I'm not. Leno's entire tenure on The Tonight Show was shrouded in mediocre-ness and shadiness. Here's some of The Chin's worst moves.

Bleacher Report: 2014 Winter Olympics: 5 Strangest Stories from Previous Games

Good evening. I decided to bless the kind folks at Bleacher Report with some of my smooth words. Check it out, click the link below.

Trade Report: Superior Spider-Man Vol. 1

The trade I read this week was:

The Superior Spider-Man Vol. 1:  My Own Worst Enemy

Writer:  Dan Slott
Artists:  Ryan Stegman and Giuseppe Camuncoli

This version of Spider-Man has an interesting twist. it's Peter Parker's body, with Otto Octavius's (Doctor Octopus) consciousness running the show.

January Misses

Man, am I glad to be officially done with January! Mother Nature was COLD BLOODED during the first month of the year. Your furnace wasn't the only thing pumping out heat last month (you see what I did there?). There was noise being made by veterans and rookies. Let's see what you might have missed. You're welcome.
