iTunes Decoded: Track 16
Alright. So a while back, we'll say 2009-ish, my desktop crashed. I ended up getting a new laptop, but at the time, I was not technical disaster ready, so I never backed up my hard drive. That's right, all my pictures, documents, and music were just lost. Through a YouTube tutorial, I discovered that I did have back up for my music in the form of my iPod.
I followed the step-by-step directions, and voila! I was able to recover all 10,000 plus of my songs and put them on my laptop. One hiccup, 25% of the tracks lost all their descriptive info (title, artist, album, etc.). They were either re-named a track number (ex: track 12) or a non-descriptive 4 letter code (ex: BVTH). Nonetheless, I was happy to have my music back, so I dealt with the missing info. In other words, I was too lazy to manually enter in all the info myself. 25% of 10,000 is a lot of damn songs.
So here I am 5 years later and I have finally grown tired of playing the guessing game. I haven't been able to find Erykah Badu's I Want You in forever, and that's one of my all-time jams. I will now update all of my unknown track info, one track at a time and document it for your reading pleasure. This is the first installment.

Follower Critique: Tess Henley - High Heels & Sneakers
I haven't done one of these in a while. It's not that I haven't wanted to review one the blog's Twitter followers, its just that very few of my followers have intrigued me enough to listen to their music. It's an emotional roller coaster to say the least.
I get all excited when I get a notification that I have a new follower, then I see who it is, and it's somewhat disappointing. Its like, did you even look at the background of the type of music that is showcased on the blog? No, MC Such-n-Such, I do not want to hear your latest album titled Bitchez, Weed, Money, & Gunz.
As for you DJ Stank-Booty, I will not download your latest mixtape She Twerks Hard for the Money Vol. 14 (you see what I did there, elementary word play with the title of a Donna Summer classic).

Daily Throwback: The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony
This was an odd choice, but who am I to argue with the wishes of the Shuffle God. Truth be told, I don't even know how this got on my iTunes. Ah well. You're welcome.

Robin Thicke ft. T.I. & Pharrell - Blurred Lines
Uh oh, JT's not the only cool white boy that can get a veteran rapper and a platinum producer to hop on a track. Mr. Thicke a.k.a. Mike Seaver (I wonder if that will catch on) drops a hot one that has the interweb buzzing. I'm digging this one. It has a nice little summer time vibe to it. Shit, its been so cold so far this "spring," everything sounds like it has a summer time vibe to me. Blurred Lines will be officially released on iTunes this Tuesday. You're welcome.

Justin Timberlake – The 20/20 Experience (Album Stream)
With only 8 days left until the release of one of the most highly anticipated albums of the year, JT hits us with an audio stream of The 20/20 Experience. The stream is hosted by iTunes, and so far we seem to be free of a rant via Kanye. You're welcome.

Rapper Big Pooh ft. Chaundon – Cognac
One-third of Little Brother, I'm not even gonna say any more, just listen. I will say, this cut is a smooth as the liquor it's named after. You know a song is quality when they don't even let you download it and direct you to iTunes to purchase it. Fret not citizens, this is the internet, I'm sure if you look around a little bit you will be able to find the track for the "right price."

Justin Timberlake – “Suit & Tie" (Julio Bashmore Remix)
Mr. Timberlake is back, and it seems like the world missed him. I can't front, I did a little bit too. His album, The 20/20 Experience, is the top album on iTunes and it hasn't even been released yet. The lead single, Suit & Tie, has owned the airwaves lately, so DJ Julio Bashmore has decided to put his electronic interpretation on it. My opinion...it's aight, I guess I would have to be in an electronic mood to enjoy it more. Maybe if I was at a European discotech at 2 AM, I would enjoy it more, but its cool. Take a listen for yourself, and remember kids, say no to Molly.
