New Music: Rapper Big Pooh – Don’t Change

I had to post something good to get that hot garbage taste of R.Kelly's latest effort out of mouth.  I love anything from any of the Little Brother alumni. You're welcome...for real this time.

New Music: R. Kelly ft. 2 Chainz - My Story

Remember when R.Kelly would drop a song and change the current face of R&B? Yeah, he doesn't do that anymore. Instead he drops garbage like this, pandering to an audience who never heard the original 12 Play or knew about his days with the Public Announcement.

The only reason I posted this is because no matter what, the man is still a legend in Chicago. That shit will change soon if Kellz keeps pumping out trash like this. 2 Chainz, Robert, really? You just look and sound desperate now. C'mon, son! You're welcome...not really, I should apologize for posting this.

Trailer: Jay Z - "Picasso Baby-A Performance Art Film" (HBO Special)

Hov continues to expand his commercial appeal. He might be getting more popular than his wife, if that's even possible. I'm just glad I was down from the beginning with Hawaiian Sophie and Show & Prove. Tune in on Friday August 2nd @ 11 PM EST to HBO to see Jigga's latest project. You're welcome.

Daily Throwback: Musiq Soulchild - Just Friends (Sunny)

Today, the Shuffle God asks us "what ever happened to the Neo Soul movement?" Musiq was one of the purveyors of this movement, and this song introduced his style to the world.  This was THE joint for a long time.  Musiq is still making music, but nothing like this, but then again, who is nowadays?  Ah, the lost art of soul and R&B.  You're welcome.

Daily Throwback: Kanye West ft. GLC & Consequence - Spaceship

The Shuffle God feels my sorrow for having to work this gloomy Saturday morning, and hits us with a pre-Kardashian jam from Kanye. Spaceship beautifully describes one's thought process of grinding everyday at a 9 to 5 gig, and having bigger ambitions.  I am definitely still waiting for my spaceship.  You're welcome.

Trailer: Fruitvale Station

Sadly enough, this film begins its promo tour on the heels of the highly contested Zimmerman/Martin verdict. Not to drudge up negative energy, but Fruitvale Station looks powerful, and the teaser already has me thinking Academy Award. It would be fitting that film about the tragic Oscar Grant incident wins an Oscar. You're welcome.

Trailer: VH1's "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story"

I don't know about you, but I'm a sucker for biopics, especially ones about musicians.  I've been excited about this one since I heard it was in pre-production.  The trailer looks pretty legit, and those outfits brought back mad memories.  Take a peek.  You're welcome.
