J. Cole Announced to Headline Common's Aahh Fest!

After an all too long hiatus, Common is FINALLY (The Rock voice) bringing Aahh Fest back to Chicago! I was lucky enough to be in attendance for the inaugural event, and I am STILL reeling from all the emotions it opened up for me as a hip-hop stan fan.

iTunes Decoded: USQN

Uncovering this track was a pleasant surprise. Reflection Eternal (Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek for those not in the know) featuring Jay Electronica, Mos Def, and J. Cole. I almost forgot about this track, it was featured on Reflection Eternal's highly slept on Revolutions Per Minute album. This was in constant rotation for me during the summer of 2010. Mos & Kweli plus a hungry Jermaine and Jay Elec plus Hi-Tek on the beat equals a certified jam. Enjoy. You're welcome.

A.D.D. Report: Bulls, Rhymes, and Life - 2013 Wrap-Up

The old cliche goes the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. The Chicago Bulls are in a state of insanity. I hear constantly from Bulls' fans that Derrick Rose needs help but when they can get him help by losing to be major players in the draft, those fans are against it.

Fans want them to make the playoffs, basically just to say they made it. Making the playoffs then getting bounced out gets you nothing. Where did it get the Bulls last year? It got Chicago all excited because they made it out the first round then won game 1 against the Miami Heat but then got swept after that. If you're a true fan of the Bulls, you should want the Bulls to miss the playoffs to give Derrick Rose a phenom rookie sensation. How do you think we got Derrick Rose in the first place? We missed the playoffs, that's how.

April Misses

Here we are again.  The critical point in time where I give you a list of the songs from this past month that were good, but did not warrant me ignoring my family to post about.  April started off kind of "meh," but finished strong, had to leave a few early favorites off the list. Oh, and for those expecting to see Daft Punk's new cut on here, I apologize now.  Its good, but let's face it, we all heard it...a lot.  Let's get to it.
